Annette Lantz-Simmons, M.A.
Conflict Transformation, Eastern Mennonite University, 2009
As Executive Director for the Community Mediation Center (CMC) in Kansas City, Missouri, my goal is to help create cultures of peace that permeate relationships, institutions and communities. Through collaborative and transformative mediation, facilitation and training, CMC staff and volunteers assist others to build families, businesses and communities where all address their differences in just ways. I witness stories of transformation and hope daily.
This blog is a way to share some of those stories with you; celebrating a shift away from authoritative decision making, continued unresolved conflict and physical and verbal violence, toward collaborative processes that include and attend to all voices and needs.

Green is so your colour.
Dear Annette: First, LOVE the pic. Mediation is spelled incorrectly in profile. I appreciate the blog site and will check in for updates. It was a bit difficult to track due to the mediation-speak or language that was used. Perhaps you might consider more layman’s language in your writing to help it flow and make it more translatable and/or accessible to someone not involved in the process. Thanks for including me sis! Glad to be able to work with CMC… Dennis
